Blue Smoque BBQ in Mazatlan is a lovely restaurant housed in a spectacular 150 year old Centro Historico building that serves terrific American-style barbecue including ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, beef brisket, BBQ-smoked chicken and hamburgers served with homemade sides and desserts!
Blue Smoque BBQ does not have a liquor license, but diners are not only welcomed, but encouraged, to bring their own. No corkage fees!
Blue Smoque does take-out orders and caters events. Open Wednesday and Thursday 12pm until 8:30pm, Friday through Sunday 12pm until 10:30pm, reservations accepted, cash only.

El Bigotes Carnitas el Camino is a popular open air air restaurant with lovely shaded tables and lots of pretty plants. The very clean and well-organized kitchen is open to view.
The chopped BBQ pork tortillas are especially delicious as are, of course, the carnitas. The barbecue can be served on either tortillas or as torta sandwiches, and they offer a nice range of toppings like roasted peppers and pickled onions as well as sauces and salsas including a wonderful Chili de Arbol salsa.
In addition to regular beverages, there is a special culinary treat -- El Bigotes is home to Frosty's, which serves delicious hand-made ice milk, which goes so sweetly well with tangy barbecue!
El Bigotes sells BBQ by the kilo as take-out, and they will also deliver to most locations in Mazatlan. Cash only.

The ever-popular La Casa Country steakhouse in Mazatlan serves diners certified Angus beef and Mexican cuisine. Founded in 1993, La Casa Country serves great steaks, from hefty fillets to thin, marinated skirt steak.

The Cabreria Steak, in particular, consistently gets great reviews. It's flavorful and tender, slow roasted over a mesquite charcoal fire and served with a wonderful sauce on the side. And from the Mexican countryside: goat, marinated and tender, served with an Argentinean-style sauce.
Chicken is another good choice at La Casa Country in Mazatlan, and La Casa Country has some of the best shrimp in Mazatlan. La Casa Country's staff pride themselves on their service, and have succeeded in making La Casa Country one of the most consistently recommended steakhouses in Mazatlan Mexico.
La Casa Country has a large main dining area and two private dining rooms. This highly recommended restaurant opens a noon and stays open until 11pm Sunday through Thursday, 2am on Friday and Saturday nights. Major credit cards accepted.
