Diego's Beach House in Mazatlan (formerly La Hoguera) is really something different: a sprawling open-air dining establishment situated directly on the water-front at the north end of the Golden Zone.

La Hoguera means "The Bonfire" and -- whatever the name -- fire is what powers the grills of the three kitchens and massive smoker where meats are patiently cooked for hours on end.

Diego's Beach House offers BBQ fans a wide range of well-prepared traditional slow-cooked barbecue (primarily beef, chicken and pork), ribs and delicious traditional sides such as garlic mashed potatoes, crunchy onion rings, tangy cole slaw, corn on the cob and golden French fries. Complimenting the barbecued items are delightful fresh ceviches; outstanding hamburgers, and a tasty hot dog: The Great Dane.

Chef Diego Becerra is an ever-present fixture of this unique Mazatlan restaurant, and takes great pride in the time and meticulous care that go in to each of his meals.
