Art lovers enjoy the diverse selection of art galleries in our city, and art galleries in Mazatlan are a wonderful adventure to visit and great places to buy art that will enrich your life for years to come.
 From traditional Mexican artisan handicrafts to the spectacular modern paintings, prints, and sculpture of internationally acclaimed artist Glen Rogers, Mazatlan art galleries offer something for everyone.
The Centro Historico is of particular interest. The Mazatlan Centro Historico has gained a worldwide reputation as a destination for both collectors and artists.
Painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, fabric artists and more have set up their studios throughout Mazatlan, particularly in the Centro Historico where galleries -- and artists studios -- are unmatched anywhere in our city.
The Centro Historico is also home to the Mazatlan Art Walk -- Camino del Arte -- which is a spectacular self-guided tour of not only Centro Historico art galleries, but artist studios, and which showcases paintings, photography, drawings, sculpture, jewelry and more created by Mazatlan-based artists.
Sponsored by Cultura Mazatlan ( culturamazatlan.com ) the 2010-2011 season saw a number of new artists join the art walk, including many artists from outside Mexico, and the 2011-2012 season had a spectacular debut on Friday, November 4, 2011.
Mazatlan Art Walk sites are easy to access, with all sites located within a roughly 10 square block area from Olas Atlas to Teniente Azueta, east to west, and Aleman to Canizales, north to south.
The Mazatlan Art Walk takes place on the first Friday of each month, November until May, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm.
Maps of the Mazatlan Art Walk sites can be found at many Centro Historico businesses, at some hotels in the Golden Zone - Zona Dorada, or online in downloadable form at the Mazatlan Art Walk website, artwalkmazatlan.com
Beyond the Art Walk Mazatlan map of exhibitor locations, the artwalkmazatlan.com website also offers pages where you can see the wonderful artwork created by the Mazatlan Art Walk exhibitors.
An absolute must-do if you are in town on the first Friday of any month between November and May, the Mazatlan Art Walk is great fun for the entire family.

Luna is the only Contemporary Art Gallery in Mazatlan’s Centro Historico that deals exclusively in Fine Art. Housed in a newly renovated historic building in the heart of Old Town, Luna showcases paintings, prints, drawings and sculpture by local and international artists: a collective that encircles abstract to realism.
Glen Rogers, who started the First Fridays Artwalk, opened Luna to further highlight the visual arts in Mazatlan’s Centro Historico. In addition to her own work, Luna will be exhibiting Lucila Santiago, Dave Robb, Mark Jay, Rafael Avila Tirado and other local and international artists.
Exhibitions change monthly. Luna in Mazatlan is open 11am to 5pm Tuesday - Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday.
